Module 3: Entrepreneurial Discovery Process (EDP) and Governance

The third training module of the Capacity Enhancement for Development and Implementation of Smart Specialisation Strategies in Türkiye's Regions  Project (CEDIS3) named Entrepreneurial Discovery Process (EDP) and Governance of Smart Specialisation Strategies (S3) was successfully completed. The training was held on 15-19 April 2024 in Samsun. Approximately 100 participants from the Ministry of Industry and Technology and development agencies of 26 regions attended the training.

Starting on 15 April 2024, the opening of the training was delivered by the Head of Department of Planning, Programming and Urban Development Ms Zeyneb Ersayın and Secretary General of the Middle Black Sea Development Agency Ms Mehlika Dicle. Moderated by the Key Expert on Smart Specialisation Dr. Nida Özbolat, the training was delivered by Policy Analyst at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission Dr. Manuel Gonzalez Evangelista, Associate Professor in Innovation Management at the University of Warsaw Dr. Marina Ranga, CEDIS3 Expert and former Team Leader at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission Dr. Nikola Radovanovic, Head of EU-Services at Prognos AG Dr. Jan-Philipp Kramer and CEDIS3 Regional Experts Ms Işıl Nadire Yener, Dr. Murat Ali Dulupçu and Mr Nuri Barış Tartıcı.

The training was focused on the key concepts of the Entrepreneurial Discovery Process (EDP), its link to the governance systems, and its integration into the development process of smart specialisation strategies.
